Spectrum’s Fellowship Program

At Spectrum, we're passionate about cultivating the next generation of marketing and communications professionals. Our Fellowship program is a transformative journey designed for recent college graduates eager to dive into the dynamic world of integrated marketing, communications and media. Once it concludes, the Fellows are ready and equipped to step into full-time positions.

Imagine being part of a vibrant peer community where you connect with Spectrum's newest talents and top leadership. Our Fellows receive teaching sessions with C-Suite executives, find mentors in tenured employees and build lasting friendships with each other through this shared experiences.

"When seeking my first job after college, I aimed to find a community I could belong to and rely on,” said Anna Rei, pharma Fellow. “Through this experience, I was able to cultivate invaluable friendships and mentorships that will accompany me throughout my career."

The Fellowship program isn't just about community — it's also a rich learning environment. Our meticulously designed online modules showcase diverse offerings within Spectrum, followed by interactive sessions led by senior professionals. There are also educational sessions on critical transferrable skills needed to thrive in the world of marketing communications and daily hands-on learning from client teams.

“The Fellowship Program was an exceptional journey! With comprehensive trainings, interactive learning sessions and hands-on client work, I gained a profound understanding of agency operations, preparing myself for future success,” said Katie Berneking, project management Fellow.

The highlight of our Fellowship program is the Capstone pitch competition, where Fellows showcase their skills with real-life proposals mentored by their managers and top executives. This project not only gives the two teams an opportunity to compete by showcasing their creativity and all they’ve learned to their mentors and managers, but the presentations are presented virtually to the entire agency.

Kristina Roberts, marketing and new business Fellow, emphasizes, “The Capstone project isn't just a valuable learning opportunity, it's also a catalyst for fostering collaboration among team members. I firmly believe that the Capstone project distinguishes this Fellowship experience.”

Now that this year’s Fellowship program has concluded, we cannot wait to see all the great work and thinking the Fellows class of 2023 will continue to bring to both Spectrum and our industry.
